Before going online, run the online experience station first, and what should be configured separately for the formal site?
Running the online trial station before going live is to confirm the functional boundaries and operational feel; what needs to be configured separately on the formal site is the answer, which is the domain and deployment environment, content structure, crawling and indexing settings, notification links, and backup and recovery strategies. The data and access environment of the trial station are not equivalent to your production site. By separating these two things, the launch check will not miss any items.
What to verify by running the online trial station before going live
An official online demo site is provided, with the backend entry location publicly written in the project's demo area description. It belongs to a public demonstration environment. It is suitable to complete three things on the demo site: confirm whether the content model and column structure are sufficient; confirm whether the operation path of editing, publishing, and preview is convenient; confirm whether auxiliary capabilities such as AI writing, tags, and images match the team's habits. The positioning of the demo site is a reference environment, and its configuration should not be copied as a template for the formal site.
The configuration for the formal site needs to be implemented separately
Deployment form.Optional one-click deployment of Baota panel or aaPanel in the production environment, or deployment can be done according to the LNMP command method, the official provides Docker image anqicms/anqicms. The service listens to port 8001 by default, and the domain traffic needs to be forwarded by the reverse proxy, this part must be configured and verified separately on the formal site.
Content structure.Custom content models and custom fields determine which business data can be accommodated later: products, cases, downloads, recruitment, and such structural differences should be defined clearly before going live, rather than changing the table structure later.
Crawling and indexing.Robots configuration, site map generation, search push, and historical address redirection rules all need to be rechecked according to the formal domain. The address of the experience site does not have the meaning of inclusion.
Notifications and security.Email reminders, form validation, and content filtering should have thresholds reset according to the formal site's receiving and sending environment and submission frequency, to avoid continuing to use the default values of the demonstration environment.
The recommended order of inspection
- After deployment, verify that the home page and main column entry can be accessed normally, and that static resources and image addresses point to the formal domain.
- Go through the creation, draft preview, publication, and recycle bin recovery with a small amount of real content to confirm that the status transition meets expectations.
- Check that the configuration related to crawling and pushing is effective, and verify whether the redirection of historical links lands correctly.
- Establish the first backup point, confirm that the backup includes data and static files, and practice a recovery process.
- Finally, open the form entry, first verify with a small flow, and then release for normal submission.
Common questions
Can the trial station be used as a long-term test environment? It is not recommended. It does not carry your data, nor does it have a formal domain and server environment, the verification conclusion will be distorted.
What is the most likely to be overlooked before going live?Verification of reverse proxy and port forwarding, as well as whether the backup points can really be restored in the new environment.
Should the content model be adjusted after going live?Try to finalize it before going live. The addition or deletion of fields will affect the existing content and template values, and the regression cost of late adjustments will be significantly higher.
