Can the deleted document be recovered? There are two cases: Deleting a formal document in AnQiCMS is moved to the recycle bin instead of being physically deleted, so the recently deleted document can be found in the recycle bin; if the recycle bin is also cleared, you need to rely on backup and recovery to cover the situation. As for whether the draft preview link will be indexed by search engines, it depends on whether the preview link with preview=true is distributed and whether the robots configuration has clearly declared the paths that should not be indexed.

What is deleted when deleted?

The document status of AnQiCMS is divided into formal documents, drafts, pending publication, and recycling bin. The daily 'delete' operation, for formal documents, is to move it from the list to the recycling bin, with the content itself still in the library. This design determines that the first reaction after accidental deletion is not to panic and restore the data, but to go to the recycling bin to find the entry. The actual physical deletion usually occurs when cleaning the recycling bin, so it is necessary to take a look at whether there are any mistakenly deleted items before cleaning.

The boundary of recovery in the recycling bin

The recycling bin can recover the 'delete action' itself, but cannot recover the following situations:

  • After clearing the recycling bin, the entries can no longer be recovered;
  • Content loss of old versions caused by editing overlay, the recycle bin does not store version history;
  • Database or file-level damage, beyond the scope of recovery within the application.

These three rely on the next level: backup.

When will the backup be used

AnQiCMS supports data backup and recovery (including static files). The executable convention is: before large-scale deletion, clearing the recycle bin, or batch replacement of versions, make a backup first and then take action. This way, even if the recycle bin route does not work, the entire database can still be returned to the state before the operation. Relying solely on the recycle bin without making a backup is equivalent to placing the recovery capability on the last barrier.

Will the preview link be captured

The draft link with preview=true can preview the rendering effect, it is aimed at internal confirmation scenarios. Will it be captured, look at three stages:

  1. Whether the link has entered the public page - there is no entry link, the crawler cannot find it along the page;
  2. Whether it has been externally distributed - posted in public articles, social channels, it is equivalent to personally handing it out;
  3. robots configuration - write the preview path or background path into the range that is prohibited from being crawled, giving a declaration to the law-abiding crawler.

robots is a declaration rather than a mandatory intercept, so the first two disciplines are more important than the configuration itself.

The handling sequence after accidental deletion

First, stop the ongoing publishing and cleaning actions to avoid the deleted items being overwritten or accidentally cleared; then go to the recycling bin to locate by title, restore directly if found; after restoration, check whether the categories, tags, and links are complete. If not found in the recycling bin, evaluate the backup time point, and recover from the backup in an isolated environment first to verify, and then decide the scope of补.
