Fine-tuning of style, replacement of text blocks, and local structural rearrangement of these three types of template modifications can be safely entrusted to AI visual editing; public components, data field values, and caching strategies must be manually reviewed. This article outlines the boundaries of AI-assisted template modification according to the type of modification, provides the operation sequence of backup before modification, rollback after modification, and acceptance of going online, and explains the position of the skill mechanism in batch template tasks.
Must template modifications be written by yourself? Not all; where is the boundary of AI-assisted template modification? The boundary is whether the modification will affect other pages and data. Changes to the style and copy layers can be directly handled by AI, while changes involving public components, field values, and cache, AI can only propose, and a signature is required before implementation.
The first category is style adjustment: color, spacing, font size, button shape, the range of changes is enclosed by CSS, and errors are only visual anomalies with a low cost of rollback. The second category is text block replacement: title, button text, description paragraphs of this kind of static text, AI can locate the corresponding block in the template according to natural language description. The third category is local structure rearrangement: moving the author information from the bottom of the text to the top, adding a line summary to the list page, which only affects the local segment of a single template file.
These three types share the common feature that the impact area is visible: after modification, refresh the page and the problem is visible. The visual template editor, with the ability to edit templates with AI, turns these three types of changes into conversational operations - describe what you want, the editor modifies the template code, and people decide whether to keep the effect based on the results. When the front-end scheduling is tight, these types of changes can indeed be taken out of the work order.
The first type, common components: The header, footer, and navigation are referenced by dozens of pages. AI makes it 'better looking' in a single-page perspective, but it may be an accident in a full-site perspective. The second type, data field values: Behind each variable in the template is a field definition of the content model. If the field name is spelled incorrectly, it does not report an error but only a blank. AI does not understand the full set of fields, and it is easiest to create a non-existent value in this type of change. The third type, caching and conditional logic: Staticization switch, branches displayed according to the login status, the changes affect the rendering chain rather than the layout, and it is necessary for someone who understands the system to write it.
Judgment rhyme: If the change only has visual consequences, AI can do it; if there are data consequences or whole-site consequences, manual control is required.
AI can also adhere to the same operational discipline as manual operations when changing templates: backup before making any changes. The backup capability should cover both data and static files, with template files belonging to the latter; if the change fails, recover directly from the backup instead of changing back in the editor based on memory. A more secure approach is to keep version traces of template changes so that when problems occur, it can be compared to determine which change introduced the problem.
The sequence is fixed in four steps: backup, modify on the test page or draft site, preview and compare, and then synchronize to the official template after confirmation. AI only undertakes the draft work before the third step.
Changes to single pages rely on dialogue, while batch tasks require coordination. The background encapsulates common operations and development actions into skills (Skills), and batch processing related to templates - such as replacing a component reference throughout the site, or applying a new footer in bulk - can be entrusted to skills for execution according to a list, with the results checked item by item. When collaborating with skills, provide verifiable outputs (which files were changed, the differences before and after each change) rather than just a statement like 'It's all done.'
The review of template modifications does not look at the preview in the background, but at the online version: open key pages on mobile and desktop separately; go through three types of interactive pages such as pagination, search, and forms; finally, check that the URLs in the site map are not shortened or 404 due to structural changes. Modifications that pass the review are considered complete, and those that do not are rolled back to the backup - rollback is not a failure, but part of the process.
Will AI modifying the template break the static URL?The static URL is determined by the routing configuration, and changes to the template layer generally do not affect the URL; but if AI changes the link generation fragment, it is necessary to check the address rules specifically according to the third step of the review.
To what extent can a person who doesn't know how to code use it?Styles and copywriting are enough to deal with; when it comes to field values, it is at least necessary to have a colleague who understands data structures to review.
Does the template changed by AI still need to be manually sorted twice?Being able to run does not mean it is tidy; it is recommended to regularly converge the style differences generated by AI back to theme variables to avoid the template file becoming thicker and thicker as it is changed.

Can. The customized content model solves the problem of 'inconsistent field structures in different columns': industry, scale, and achievement figures for case columns, positions, locations, and responsibilities for recruitment columns, each built a model instead of being crammed into article fields. This article provides examples of field splitting for two columns and explains how titles, keywords, and descriptions are automatically generated after modeling, and how static links and sitemaps receive new column inclusion.

Before direct publishing, the AI-generated title, description, and tags need to be reviewed for four aspects: whether the title and description can be independently cited and have consistent tone, whether the automatic tags fall within the range of the keyword library, whether the automatic image matches the content, and whether the main text passes the sensitive word filtering and content review. AnQiCMS's AI writing capability has been built-in since 2023, and the output still needs to pass the review gate.

When letting AI batch operate on the background content, step-by-step confirmation will slow down long tasks, and fully releasing it carries too much risk. Rational division of labor includes not confirming read operations, merging similar write operations for confirmation in rounds, and high-risk capabilities at the site level should be turned off by default and explicitly opened. This article explains how to assign approval strategies for different tasks according to AnQiCMS's MCP Server, intent directory, and round-level approval instructions.
