Feature Introduction

How does AnQiCMS multi-site management support multi-brand operations?

Group operations often require the simultaneous maintenance of the main brand, sub-brands, and event sites. AnQiCMS supports the management of multiple independent sites within a single system, where each site can be independently configured for domain names, templates, and content structures; with multi-language site switching and full-page HTML translation, it can cover overseas brands and divide management permissions of different sites according to user groups, reducing the maintenance costs of multi-brand operations.

Enterprise website Multi-site

Feature Introduction

When a company only operates one corporate website, the difference in website building tools is not obvious; once it maintains the main brand site, sub-brand site, recruitment and joining-in site, and overseas site at the same time, the cost is transferred from 'website building' to 'website management'. AnQiCMS multi-site function allows these types of sites to run independently in a single background: there is no interference among the domain names, templates, and content structure of the sites, and operation and editing only require a team.

What is the structure of 'multi-site'?

AnQiCMS supports managing multiple independent sites, suitable for multi-brand, multi-theme websites. Here, independent refers to three things:

  • Independent entry: Each site binds its own domain name, and visitors cannot perceive that they belong to a single system;
  • Independent content organization: Columns, articles, and pages are isolated by site, the categories of Site A will not appear in the backend of Site B;
  • Independent appearance: Templates are selected by site, and sub-brands can completely摆脱 the visual of the main brand.

Compared to the pseudo multi-site model of 'one library with multiple prefixes', the advantage of this model is that adding sites does not increase the system: when a new brand goes online, it opens a new site instead of deploying a new set of programs and learning the backend again.

Typical decomposition method of multi-brand operation

Decomposing sites by management boundaries is more durable than decomposing by business lines:

  1. The main brand site undertakes authoritative information and media reports, with slow content rhythm and stable structure;
  2. Product or sub-brand sites follow the marketing rhythm to adjust columns and templates;
  3. Event and recruitment sites allow frequent revisions, and even if they are done wrong, they will not hurt the main site's inclusion.
  4. Overseas sites use multi-language sites to undertake, with independent domain names and independent language versions.

The keywords split here are 'isolation risk': The trial content of the activity station, and the external link structure will not pollute the main station.

How to connect multilingual and translation

Multiple brands often come with multilingual. AnQiCMS provides multilingual site configuration and switching, and supports whole-page HTML translation: It is not to split the fields into two sets of entry, but to generate language versions by pages, keeping the page structure and graphic layout consistent. For brand stations, this reduces the rework of 'the translation version looks different from the original version', and can also proceed page by page at the page granularity during the revision.

Permissions: Who can manage which site

The most easily out of control in multi-site is the permission. AnQiCMS's user management and VIP group support setting access permissions for different user groups, which falls into the multi-brand scenario as: the editor of brand A can only see the columns of site A, the account obtained by outsourcing operation cannot touch the main brand site, and the headquarters account has a cross-site perspective. Permissions are divided by group rather than temporarily agreed upon by individuals, so there is no need to go through the handover process when personnel change.

Boundary to be noticed.

Multi-site is not 'unlimited station opening'. Each time a station is opened, the amount of content maintenance, inclusion monitoring, and security checks are all new work surfaces, and it is recommended to proceed at the following pace: First, standardize the content model and column naming of the main station, and then copy it to the sub-station; before each station goes online, check the access to the homepage, column page, and content page item by item; high-risk operations at the whole-site level (backups, upgrades, etc.) should be reserved for a few management accounts.

Common questions

Will multi-sites affect each other's SEO?Each site has an independent domain and content organization, and in normal circumstances, they are isolated from each other; what needs to be avoided is the cross-site replication of the same content, causing duplication.

Can I only manage two sites?Can, open multiple sites as needed, first get the collaboration process between the main site and a sub-site running, and then expand.

Can the sub-brand site use a different template?Yes, the template can be selected according to the site, and the appearance is not constrained.

Does the overseas site need to be deployed separately?No. The configuration of multi-language sites is completed in the same background, and the whole page HTML translation is responsible for generating language versions.

Should the uploaded files and database be backed up together?

The backup range should be determined according to 'any missing data during recovery counts as a failure': only backing up the database will result in the loss of uploaded images and attachments, and only backing up files will result in the loss of article structure, categories, and user data. AnQiCMS supports backing up data including static files together, combining the two types of content into a single operation. The availability of the backup should be determined by recovery drills, not by file size; the backup is a site-wide operation, and permissions should be controlled according to controlled actions.
